Markinnova Club

Department of Commerce & Department of Management

(Mark = Stand Out | Innova = Innovation)
“Stand Out with Innovation”

The Markinnova Club was established in the academic year 2018-2019 under the aegis of the Department of Commerce and Management with the vision to integrate marketing acumen with innovative thinking among undergraduate students. The club was founded as a domain-specific student platform aimed at enriching the academic learning of commerce and management concepts through practical exposure, creative exploration, and leadership development.

The club seeks to nurture students who aspire to “make a mark” in the business world by offering them opportunities to innovate, collaborate, and excel beyond the classroom.

It functions under the guidance of faculty coordinators and operates through a structured student committee that plans and executes various curricular and co-curricular activities.

Objectives of Markinnova Club:

  1. To nurture domain-specific skills in marketing, human resource management, finance, and accountancy through student-led initiatives.
  2. To promote innovation and creativity in designing business models, marketing strategies, HR policies, and financial solutions.
  3. To provide a practical platform for students to apply classroom knowledge in real-world situations through events, projects, and workshops.
  4. To enhance communication, leadership, and team-building skills by involving students in event planning, execution, and decision-making.
  5. To encourage research-oriented thinking through business case analyses, market research, financial forecasting, and survey-based projects.
  6. To bridge the gap between academia and industry by facilitating guest sessions, alumni interactions, and field visits.
  7. To develop ethical and socially responsible business thinking through activities that promote sustainability, inclusivity, and social awareness.
  8. To create awareness about emerging tools and technologies in digital marketing, HR analytics, accounting software, and fintech platforms.
  9. To encourage entrepreneurial spirit by allowing students to pitch business ideas, participate in innovation contests, and simulate start-up environments.
  10. To promote interdisciplinary collaboration by integrating various aspects of commerce and management in club activities.
  11. To support overall personality development by offering students opportunities to showcase talents, express ideas, and build confidence.
  12. To document and reflect on learning outcomes of each club activity for continual improvement and academic enrichment.
