BIOZEAL symbolizes a vibrant community of learners and innovators united by their zeal for biotechnology and its impact on society, health, and the environment.

Biozeal Club was established in 2018-19 by Department of Biotechnology to serve as a specialized, student-led body focused on fostering enthusiasm, collaboration, and excellence in biotechnology among undergraduate students, supporting departmental initiatives, and contributing to the academic ecosystem.

Objectives of Biozeal:

  1. Academic Enrichment:
    • To enhance understanding and application of core biotechnology concepts through seminars, workshops, and technical events.
    • Promote interdisciplinary learning by integrating biotechnology with fields like bioinformatics, data science, environmental sciences, and pharmaceuticals.
  2. Skill Development:
    • Provide a platform for students to develop technical and research skills in molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioprocessing, and related areas.
    • Foster scientific communication through paper presentations, poster-making competitions, and debates.
  3. Innovation and Research:
    • Encourage original research projects and student-led innovations.
    • Support participation in national and international biotech competitions and conferences.
  4. Industry Readiness:
    • Bridge the gap between academics and industry by organizing guest lectures, industry visits, and internships.
    • Collaborate with biotech companies, research labs, and startups for real-world exposure.
  5. Community and Awareness:
    • Spread awareness about the applications and ethical aspects of biotechnology in campus and society by organising various events.
